Northstar's M-series (M84 and M121) multi-function units excel as complete navigation packages for boats of all sizes - integrating GPS, radar, sonar, fuel management and video functionality into a daylight viewable high-resolution display, said manufactNorthstar High Definition Digital radar combined with C-Map cartography (further to the 32Mb embedded background chart as standard) also provides a comprehensive array of navigational aids, including chart overlay, said Navico.
Equipped with a powerful 1kW (RMS) sounder that automatically adjusts the output power (1kW or 600W) to match the wattage of the transducer, no separate sounder processor is required. Navico says to simply plug the transducer of your choice into the M84 (above right) or M121 (above left) and they are up and running.
Navico said the Optional Automatic Identification System receivers display vital vessel information from registered vessels on the chartplotter screen.
Both the M84 and M121 also offer on-demand access to the engine's fuel performance data, as well as SmartCraft management for SmartCraft-enabled engines, said the company.
Navico said Northstar also brings video to the helm by connecting a camera for deck monitoring, engineroom surveillance, and even underwater views, while DVD player or camcorder connection is also available.
Northstar's M-series also offers the option of 8in/20.1cm (M84) or 12in/30.5cm (M121) display sizes.
