Featuring NorthStar’s high-performance Hydro-Delta fibreglass hull and large diameter Hypalon tubes, the 640 RW measures 6.40m LOA with a 2.70m beam. The wide beam provides spacious internal measurements of 5.35m x 1.56m, creating a true centre-console RIB with walk-around space either side of the console, along with dedicated seating for up to eight adults (official maximum passenger capacity of 14).
NorthStar says the 640 RW’s practical layout -- with creative storage solutions to stow a range of gear -- is designed to suit packed-out trips, be that a day-trip to a secluded beach, a dive/fishing trip to an inshore reef or whale watching offshore.
All NorthStar RIBs over six metres in length meet CE Category B Offshore (defined as: ‘Designed for offshore voyages where conditions up to and including wind force F8 and significant wave heights up to and including four metres may be experienced’). This rating, combined with NorthStar’s technologically-advanced construction techniques -- vacuum infusion or resin transfer moulding (RTM) technologies for all fibreglass components for strong, lightweight construction -- adds to the 640 RW’s ‘go-anywhere, do-anything’ reputation.
The 640 RW’s transom features a rear boarding ladder for easy access to/from the water, making the boat suitable for diving and towsports, while an optional shower and 60-litre freshwater tank allows people and gear to be rinsed onboard.
The 200hp maximum power rating packs plenty of punch and the 160-litre fuel tank provides extended range for coastal trips.
The NorthStar 640 RW is available for inspection and sea trial at Sevaris Marine’s headquarters at South of Perth Yacht Club, Coffee Point, Applecross WA. For more information go to: www.sevarismarine.com.au or contact Matt Sevior on 0400 680 438.
