Melbourne's New World Honda Marine has been named Victoria/Tasmania Stacer Dealer of the Year for 2010/11.
Recognising New World Honda Marine's strong sales performance over the past 12 months, the award also highlights the popularity of high-quality boat/motor/trailer (BMT) packages over price-point packages.
Honda Australia marine manager Chris Schultz said BMT packages resulted in a significant share of total outboard sales each year.
"Honda works closely with boat manufacturers and dealers to assist in preparing quality BMT packages that will ensure many years of enjoyable boating for owners," Mr Schultz said.
"In New World Honda Marine’s case, Stacer boats are very popular around the country, as are Honda outboards for their reliability, fuel efficiency and clean performance.
"People are pretty savvy with their pre-purchase research these days and they want real value for money, which is exactly what Honda-powered BMT packages deliver… be it a small tinnie for use in freshwater or a large fibreglass rig for offshore fishing."
Very happy to receive this latest award, New World Honda Marine director Andrew Mulquiney said Stacer was a big part of the business.
"The Stacer Dealer of the Year award is a reflection of the effort our team invests to ensure the success of the Stacer brand within our business,” Mr Mulquiney said.
“We strongly believe in the product, to the extent that one of our team owns and runs a custom 489 Nomad powered by a Honda BF90."
Located at the corner of Westernport Freeway and Monash Drive, Lyndhurst/Dandenong South, New World Honda Marine is situated on a huge two-acre site which comprises an impressive 2000sqm fully air-conditioned showroom housing 40+ boats, 1700sqm outdoor display area, 420sqm service facility and ample customer parking.
