New World Honda Marine is now located in a massive new, state-of-the-art premises in Melbourne's southeast.

Located at the corner of Westernport Freeway and Monash Drive, Lyndhurst/Dandenong South, the marine superstore is built on a huge two-acre site, with an impressive fully air-conditioned showroom housing 40-plus boats, an outdoor display area for second-hand boats, a service centre, spare parts, and ample customer parking.

New World Honda Marine's Michael Mulquiney said the superstore created an environment that encouraged boaters to explore the world of Honda in a friendly and positive manner.

OUTBOARD FARM
With well over an acre of boats and accessories on display - including Australia's first 'outboard engine farm' which is home to every model in Honda's technologically-advanced range - New World Honda Marine offers the full range of Haines Hunter fibreglass boats, Sea Jay pressed aluminium boats and Mastercraft performance boats. In fact New World Honda has every model in the Haines Hunter range.

"Our extensive range of chandlery, watersports equipment, fishing gear and other accessories, as well as our first-class service facility, makes us a true one-stop shop for all your boating needs," said Mulquiney.

"The service department concept is: come to the counter and book your boat in. If you want to wait, there's seating, television and coffee. We have six defined work bays, gantries, oil, water, and each bay has its own setup, with engines stored in the top racks.

"In the showroom, all the Honda outboards are grouped in a circular area Honda calls an engine farm. You can look at and choose any engine. There's also bar stools, television showing the boats and outboards, plus magazines and brochures. This doubles as a waiting area, so as husbands walk around looking at boats, families can sit and look at a magazine, plus there's air-conditioning and heating to complete a happy, friendly, family environment.

"The boats are in defined areas, like the Mastercraft area. The entire front outdoor display is predominately top quality used boats. You can park at the front door, or around the vast perimeter, so parking is never a problem.

"We have a jetty-style walkway, so boats can be viewed and boarded from nearly above - far superior to looking up at the hulls. Our showroom is completed with a vast mural of a setting sun to give the look and almost the feel of the lifestyle expected when you purchase a New World Honda boat.
