Williams Jet Tenders will unleash its new Sportjet 345 and Sportjet 395 at the Cannes Yachting Festival from September 12-17. The new high-performance tenders were created following customer and industry feedback at boat shows around the world.
The jet tender manufacturer says its mission was to create a tender with signature performance and handling, while developing a sociable layout that positions the helm at the centre of the boat. This then leaves a flexible seating arrangement to carry more passengers than the equivalent Turbojets with side consoles.
Commenting on the expansion of the range, Mathew Hornsby, Sales Director at Williams Jet Tenders, said the new Sportjet 345 and Sportjet 395 take inspiration from the original Williams Turbojet, which quickly became the industry benchmark for jet propelled tenders.
"Our ambition with the latest additions to our range was to create a boat that isn’t just a functional load carrier, but enhances the yacht ownership experience on every level.
"These unique jets offer expert sea-keeping ability and manoeuvrability, allowing owners to explore remote coastlines, as well as providing endless hours of watersports fun for the whole family.
"Above all, the Sportjets embody our core purpose to provide effortless passenger transport," he said.
BRP ROTAX ENGINE
With the compact yet powerful BRP Rotax ACE 903 (90hp) engine, Williams has been able to re-imagine the layout possible for a 3.4m tender.
Creating a well-balanced, smooth running, mid-engined boat, the tenders are designed with the capacity to move all guests onboard the parent yacht in a comfortable, dry fashion.
Williams says an optional removable boarding pole removes the awkward process of boarding the tender from a moving bathing platform, providing a fixed contact point at chest height to move smoothly from yacht to tender.
The flip up footrest and wash-deflector on the bathing platform allows passengers to make use of the rear facing seats, while having the security of an angled surface to brace their feet against, enhancing the feeling of safety onboard.
Small details like the height of the helm footrail have been designed to ensure owners feel just as secure in the tender barefoot as when driving to dinner in their favourite deck shoes.
The attention to detail results in a tender that becomes effortless to use, Williams says, with key features which are based on 12 years of constant, non-stop product development driven by customer feedback.
