Lowrance is kicking off 2017 with the addition of a pair of widescreen 9in and 12in models in its Elite-Ti standalone series of fishfinder/chartplotters.
The new Lowrance Elite-12 Ti and Elite-9 Ti touchscreen fishfinder/chartplotters expand on the attributes of the Elite-Ti 4in, 5in, and 7in displays.
The big features include an easy-to-use touchscreen interface, Bluetooth and wireless connectivity, Lowrance navigation technology and high-performance CHIRP and Broadband sonar with StructureScan HD, SideScan and DownScan Imaging.
CHIRP sonar is known for providing improved fish-target separation and screen clarity, while the StructureScan HD sonar imaging system with Lowrance's exclusive DownScan Imaging is said to deliver photo-like images of fish-holding structure on both sides and directly beneath your boat.
With integrated wireless connectivity, the Elite-12 Ti and Elite-9 Ti operate directly through the GoFree Shop for downloads of mapping and software updates.
Elite Ti also works seamlessly with the Insight Genesis map-creation service, which allows you to make custom, high-resolution contour maps from recorded sonar logs, with bottom-hardness and vegetation overlays, as well as Insight Genesis Social Map community chart sharing.
Bluetooth and wireless connectivity also provide control of single or dual Power-Pole shallow-water anchor installations, as well as access to the GoFree Link App created to allow anglers to view and control the display from an iPad or Android tablet.
Yet despite all this latest fish-finding technology, Lowrance has managed to keep the prices of these new wide-screen 9in and 12in in check. The Elite-12 Ti No Transducer has a RRP of $3149 AUD/ $3649 NZD; the Elite-12 Ti Med/High TotalScan has a RRP of $3399 AUD/ $3929 NZD; while the Elite-9 Ti No Transducer has a RP of $1349 AUD/ $1689 NZD; and the Elite-9 Ti Med/High TotalScan is $1599 AUD/ $1959 NZD
Both the Elite-12 Ti and Elite-9 Ti will be available in March 2017. More info and specifications at this
