Andrew Short Marine has secured new premises at The Spit in Sydney's Middle Harbour for its range of Sea Ray and Boston Whaler boats.
The prominent Sydney dealer is taking over 14 berths and a large showroom at d'Albora Marina, across the road from Fergusons Boatshed where it has been operating for the past two years.
"The d'Albora Marina is much more visible to the drivers of the 75,000 cars that cross the Spit Bridge every day," Andrew Short told BoatPoint.
"Normally in these economic conditions you wouldn't be taking on extra overhead but the space became available and I couldn't pass up this opportunity," Short says.
The new site, at the south-western end of the Spit Bridge, will open on August 1, 2009.
"People will be able to see the larger vessels in the Sea Ray range as well as a number of the unsinkable, legendary Boston Whaler fishing boats," Short says.
The showroom will also feature Sea-Al tinnies, Quicksilver inflatables and Mercury outboards.
"The marina building is getting a long overdue facelift, so it is going to be a wonderful location for people to view one of the best collections of boats in Australia," Short says.
Andrew Short Marine's existing locations -- at Taren Point, Yowie Bay and Fergusons Boatshed -- will be unaffected by the new premises.
