New Shimano Lucanus colours

Shimano’s Lucanus jigs definitely look squiddy enough to attract a host of predatory fish that feed on cephalopods, and the lineup has been expanded somewhat with the addition of four new colour schemes -- Sunset Crab, Pink Shrimp, Dungeness Crab, and Chartreuse Shrimp.

These are available in 60, 80, 100, 150 and 200 gram weights, so you’ve got every depth from the shallows to deep reef fully covered. Replacement Dyneema-rigged Owner hooks, skirts and tentacles are also available.

Fish your Lucanus with a slow wind and the occasional lift, and expect to get bit anywhere from hard on the bottom to mid-water, especially if there’s bait and a couple of interesting arches showing on the sounder.
