Seawind’s new 30ft catamaran has arrived in Australia and was last week assembled at the company's Wollongong production facility in preparation for final testing and its debut at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show on May 24.
Called the Seawind 950, the new 30ft coastal cruising catamaran was shipped to Australia, as designed, in two 40-foot containers and took just a few days to assemble at Seawind’s local facility with only three workmen completing the boat in preparation for its launch next week following final quality control and testing.
Engineered by world-renowned engineering firm, High Modulus in New Zealand, the modular system of construction has come together very well and will allow a great deal of flexibility for shipment all around the world.
At the time of writing, pricing was yet to be fully finalised but according to Seawind's marketing manager Brent Vaughan, the price will be very keen: "We have already had a lot of interest in this boat due to its functionality and indicative price," said Vaughan. "It's going to prove to be a wonderful entry-level coastal cruiser, and with it's modular design, it can be shipped all over the world so owners can enjoy their boat both here and in other exotic locations."
The Seawind 950 will make its official world debut at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show from May 24-27 and will be available for preview inspections by appointment at the Multihull Central marina in Sydney Harbour between May 14-17.
