New Sea Ray dealer for Sydney
Chapman Marine Group joins the Sea Ray network of dealers gearing up in AustraliaAustralia's favourite American-made boat brand, Sea Ray has welcome Chapman Marine Group to one of the most prominent and prestigious boat-dealer networks in the world.
Founded in 1989 by Mark Chapman, Chapman Marine Group will now carry Sea Ray boats at the new Sydney Harbour boating amenity in Rozelle Bay just minutes from the CBD.
"Partnering with the right dealers in key markets around the world is critical to the success of the Sea Ray brand,” Sea Ray Group President, Tim Schiek said.
News of the Sydney appointment followed the recent announcement of six new 2015 Sea Ray models debuting at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show as part of a big Sea Ray relaunch effort.
Chapman Marine Group already has five new Sea Ray's on order including two presold models, the new 270 Sundeck (opening photos) and 19 SPX due in Sydney in late November, plus the Sea Ray 260 Sundancer. The new dealer will also offer Boat Equity share arrangements on Sea Rays.
"Chapman Marine Group has both the experience and reputation to enhance and expand the ownership experience in Sydney. We’re thrilled to welcome Mark Chapman and his team aboard," Schiek added.
Located at the Sydney Boathouse (www.sydneyboathouse.com.au), the Chapman Marine dealership is in the box seat to provide new Sea Ray boat owners with brand-new dry stack storage and marina pens at the exciting new boating amenity in Rozelle Bay, which opens next month.
The Chapman Marine location includes new sales offices and a new showroom designed to suit the needs of any boat buyer, as well as a comprehensive service centre to accommodate the ongoing requirements of boat owners.
"Our primary focus will be the retail sales of Sea Ray sportboats, sportcruisers and yachts; brokerage sales of pre-owned powerboats and motoryachts; parts and accessories; service and yacht management,” Chapman Marine Managing Director, Mark Chapman, said.
"It is our intention to provide first-class, after-sales-service and warranty services to all existing and new Sea Ray owners," adds Mr Chapman.
The Sydney Boathouse is conveniently located on Sydney Harbour, just four kilometres from Sydney Central Business District, and is the first purpose-built dry storage facility on Sydney Harbour, with 280 berths for dry storage (vessels up to 11m) and a 35-berth marina.
The dealership also will accommodate larger vessels (up to 20m) in marina berths, available within the development — thereby enabling Chapman Marine Group to accommodate the entire Sea Ray line-up.
Mark Chapman is a well-known marine industry professional, qualified marine engineer and broker for luxury motoryachts. He has managed operations on Sydney Harbour for more than 30 years as a dealer principal representing many well-known brands.
