Savage’s brand-new release, the 485 Scorpion is hot off the production line and set to make a serious bite into the fishing market, says the Queensland aluminium builder.
Available as side and centre console with a large variety of options, the 485 Scorpion is set to suit every angler’s needs. Savage is, of course, Australia's oldest aluminium boat brand, but the Scorpion has the cool new look.
Featuring new 3mm smooth-look side sheets and fitted out with a rear casting platform, with a live bait tank as standard, the 485 Scorpion is an exceptional fish platform that rates highly in our on-water review review.
Complete with a 77L fuel tank and plenty of storage options, including large side pockets and storage bins in the front casting platform, the 485 Scorpion offers a practical and reliable boat for your next fishing trip on bays, rivers, harbours, headlandsm islands, inshore reefs and impoundements around Australia.
Savage Director of Sales and Marketing Damien Duncan said the new Savage Scorpion range had replaced the existing Piranha range and had been re-invented to be more competitive in the elementary fishing-boat market.
"The great thing about the new Scorpion range is we’ve packed them full of more standard features like extra rod holders, live bait tank and an extra transducer bracket - all at a very competitive price," Damien said.
"The dealer network was really looking for a new model range that would be competitive in this particular market and I think we’ve hit the nail on head," Damien added.
The 485 Scorpion is available to be optioned up with a bimini and envelope for extra protection from the elements and rod storage locker perfect to keep your fishing gear safe.
The 485 Scorpion is available as complete boating package including boat, trailer and engine as well as three year limited warranty. The side-console 485 Scorpion rig we tested earlier this year was selling for <$30K with a 75hp and loaded options, driveway.
