South Australia’s premier boat builder, Northbank Fibreglass boats, has released a new and exciting model to its line up, the 750 Hard Top.
Based on the popular 650HT, the 750HT is a real stand out. With an overall length of 7.67m and a 2.45 beam, the 750HT offers a huge amount of working deck space, and is designed for offshore work, says the manufacturer.
With a hull weight of approximately 1650kg (dry), and a 350-litre fuel tank, the 750HT will be rated to 400hp making it one formidable offshore performer.
"While the 750HT is designed with offshore fishing in mind, we will also be offering weekend options in the future, which may include an enclosed cabin, and live-aboard options such as fresh water and cooking facilities," said Rob Cuming, director of Northbank fibreglass boats.
"Primarily we are targeting the larger trailer boat market, and we envisage that most of the 750HT models will be fitted with twin engines or diesel or petrol Mercruiser sterndrives.
The 750HT was recently tested in the Northbank Family fishing competition where it was a standout among the other 35 or so crews. With a tow weight of around 3000kg, the 750HT is legally towable and manageable by two people.
The new 750HT will be available through Northbank’s dealer network, after some more rigorous testing in areas such as Port Macdonnell in South Australia’s south east. Production will be in full swing late May, 2012.
