New Regulator centre console sportfishers

From tuna doors to Seakeeper gyros, the Regulator centre console range has gone to the next level of comfort and fishability

Entering the company’s 30th anniversary year, Regulator Marine recently announced upgrades to every model in its centre console line-up.

The new 2018 fleet is designed to deliver the fit, finish and ride that Regulator is known for, while bringing fishing and lifestyle features to a whole new level.

With bluewater centre consoles becoming more popular as dayboats and family boats, Regulator is offering more features, accommodation and flexibility without compromising fishability.

REGULATOR 23
The most popular boat in Australia with three sold to date, the Regulator 23 now boasts big boat features including a new standard tuna door, as well as optional through stem bow roller with anchor windlass, remote switch, chain, rope, and anchor.

From our previous Regulator 23 review, this big-little boat was an incredibly smooth riding centre console with the company’s signature 24-degree deep-vee hull.

Both the Regulator 23 and 25 will be equipped with a newly redesigned standard SuperSport Leaning Post and ‘Tackle Center’ to deliver comfort and convenience offshore.

THE 34 AND 41 FOOTERS
Arguably, the most significant transformations to Regulator’s 2018 fleet may very well be the 34 and 34SS, both of which now stake claim to a starboard boarding and dive door with removable folding ladder, and flip-up backrests on the forward seating for maximum comfort.

The Regulator 34 will also return to its roots, with sleeping accommodations for two and rod racks for up to 11 rods in the berth, optional cockpit galley seating, and convertible fiberglass sunbed/pedestal table.

The redesign of the Regulator 34 also delivers increased versatility with the addition of sleeping accommodations, rod racks, optional cockpit galley, and convertible sunbed/pedestal table,” he said.

Serious anglers will love the optional insulated/macerated aft-floor fish box, and everyone aboard will enjoy the cooling energy of the optional helm air conditioner.

The Regulator 41 will now be equipped with a Seakeeper Gyro, while
additional upgrades throughout the line will give anglers and families
the opportunity to pursue everything they love about life on the water.”

YAMAHA HELM
Beyond specific model enhancements, every Regulator from the 28 to the 41 will now feature a standard Yamaha CL7TM Touchscreen Display, and all models from the 31 to the 41 will feature Set Point Technology with the optional Yamaha Helm Master.

Programmed using Yamaha’s new CL7TM touchscreen display, engaged via the new joystick, and guided with dual-antenna navigation technology, this powerful new suite of standards provides more control in tight situations.

In addition, all electronics on every model from the 28 to the 41 will now have black flush mount facings and an optional Edson Elite Carbon Wheel with Power Knob.

LENCO AUTO TABS
All models will have the option of Lenco Marine Auto Glide so that Regulator owners can drive their boat to the optimum running angle by simply adjusting Lenco trim tabs. This new feature reduces the amount of bow rise of the boat during hole shot mode, eliminates bow bounce, and keeps the boat level at all times as it maximizes fuel efficiency.

In addition, every 2018 model will include the options of remote-controlled ACR RCL Spotlight, factory-installed Garmin electronic options, cockpit freshwater engine flush, and Backcove or Storm Grey powdercoat packages and upholstery to add a custom touch.

Celebrating 30 years, Regulator is rolling out its new models at US fishing tournaments.
