New regatta for Sydney Harbour
Audi Australia and the Middle Harbour Yacht Club have announced a new regatta, to be held during Sydney Harbour Week, March 4–5, 2006.The Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta is expected to attract more than 200 yachts, racing in 10 classes on four course areas. The event will also embrace the Sydney 38 Australian Championship.
Next year in Australia Audi will sponsor the Sydney Harbour Regatta and the Etchell Worlds in Perth in November.
The winner of the Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta will be presented with a new Audi vehicle.
Asked which model he planned to present to the winning yacht Joerg Hofmann, the managing director of Audi Australia, said that it would be one of the higher-level products from the Audi stable.
