New Princess V58 ready for summer

The first new Princess V58 has arrived in the Southern Hemisphere, at local importers Boutique Boats in Rose Bay, who configured the maxi sportscruiser for big-city touring, luxury cruising, and executive and upmarket entertaining on local waterways.

On a hot summer's night, the big V-Class could swallow 20 people on its sprawling outdoor/indoor helm deck. Entertaining amenities go to the next level, while the pricing is said to be keen due to forward ordering and a favourable exchange rate.

Boutique Boats also used its experience, seven years in the business along with a luxury boating background, to carefully consider the options. With a pair of Volvo Penta D13 800hp common rail engines and a full spread of Raymarine navigation gear, the V58 tops out at 34
knots.

Perfectly balanced shaft drives, with signature off-the-wheel power
steering, and variable-speed bow and stern thrusters, all add to the driving
and docking pleasure. But while you might grab a skipper for Christmas drinks, this open-backed sportscruiser is definitely an owner/driver 58 footer.

Ascend the transom steps alongside the garage designed around a Williams 325 jet tender, and you hit a vast teak-topped cockpit. Then, as you look forward, you see it — one giant entertaining and cruising deck surrounded by plush lounges, deep helm seats, a sportscar-like dash, up-sized wet bar, even a giant TV.  A large electric sliding roof and electric side windows offer an even more open feeling.

Otherwise, the large fore-and-aft sunpads are the spots for sunbaking. The garage with automatic hydraulic doors aids easy dispatch of your tender, while the upgraded hydraulic swim platform encourages the launch of other watertoys as well as the obligatory Sunday swim.

As Boutique Boats says, the cockpit as a “party palace.” There’s a table for 12, a wet-bar with stainless steel BBQ grill, abundant refrigeration, even a 42in LED television that emerges from a cockpit cabinet.

Down below, the convenient amdiship’s galley includes a full height fridge-freezer, dishwasher, four-hob burner, convection oven, and clever crockery storage cabinet. The dinette is the perfect size for owners doing breakfast or a late night snack.

The full beam master cabin is set low in the hull, which makes for great headroom throughout, and little motion or  noise. Large open ‘knife’ windows on either side of the hull direct natural light inside, while a comfortable lounge on the portside is the perfect spot to curl up with a good book or watch a movie on the flush-mounted AV system. The ensuite is fittingly five star, too.

The VIP cabin in the bow boasts more of that impressive headroom and signature natural light. Scissor berths create a double bed or two singles, with access to the second large ensuite, which doubles as the day head. The third cabin contains two single bunks.
