A new 62 foot Pershing was recently launched at the Marina dei Cesari in Fano, Italy.
Created by yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni, in collaboration with Advanced Yacht Technology & Design (AYTD) and the team of engineers, architects and designers of the Ferretti Group, the Pershing 62 was being prepared for the its first official outing at the Festival de la Plaisance of Cannes. One month later, the Pershing 62 will make its American debut at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.
Pershing says the hull line and superstructure are designed to give the boat a streamlined profile with an 'aggressive and sporty spirit'.
The new model, designed for optimal performance at sea, is available with two engine options: a pair of MTU 10V 2000 M84 with 1381mhp, or two MTUs 10V 2000 M93, putting out 1524mhp.
With the larger option, the Pershing 62’ reaches a top speed of 46.5 knots and has a cruising speed of 42 knots (preliminary data). The standard version of the Pershing 62’ is equipped with Searex surface propellers.
The first Pershing 62’ unit was built with the standard layout, including three cabins including the owner's suite, a VIP and guest cabin at the bow, and three bathrooms with separate showers. The guest bathroom, which has a double entrance from the cabin and from the lobby on a midway floor, can also be used as a day amenity.
The alternative version has two cabins, the owner's suite and a VIP, while the guest cabin is replaced by a living room furnished with a queen-size sofa bed. Both versions have a crew cabin which can be reached from the cockpit, with a single bed and integrated bathroom.
