Four years after Beneteau launched the Oceanis 41, 45 and 48, the company has announced it will unveil its new 41ft cruiser at the Nautic Boat Show in Paris (December 5-13).
Staying loyal to the spirit of earlier generations, the Oceanis 41.1 offers a wide scope for personalisation. Built on a chined hull making her remarkably roomy, owners can opt for a range of layouts, and with plenty of beam aft, the new 41.1 has a large cockpit for a boat of its size.
The transom, which is closed while sailing, opens out into a huge aft swim platform when at anchor. This affords direct access to the sea without encroaching on the space and comfort of the helm stations.
The new hull, designed by Finot Conq Architects, now has the mast further aft, the sail plan is now optimised and the boat is designed for outstanding stability under sail. Equipped with the Performance Pack (German main system and ‘carbon look’ set of sails), the Oceanis 41.1 promises comfortable sailing and a good turn of speed.
A gently sloping companionway of just a few steps leads to the comfortable interior by Nauta Design.
With a choice of woodwork, colours and lining materials and also the number of cabins and bathrooms, the Oceanis 41.1 adapts to different crew configurations and lifestyles on board.
Beneteau says that the generous space in the owner's cabin is worthy of a 45ft cruiser and allows the bed to face forward.
