New Multihulls for Sydney show

Revamp for sailing catamarans

Two stunning Fountaine Pajot catamarans will be showcased at the Sydney International Boat Show by importer Multihull Solutions – the new Salina 48 Evolution and the popular Lipari 41.

With upgrades inspired by Fountaine Pajot’s exclusive Flagship range, the new Salina 48 Evolution features an exciting new interior design, an improved helm station, an upgraded galley and roomier cabins.

Recognising that entertaining is king on most boats, the company has emulated a gourmet commercial kitchen aboard the Salina 48 Evolution. The galley is a dream for offshore entertaining, with dark Corian benchtops, a four-burner stainless steel stove, brushed stainless steel sink, bar, customised timber cabinetry and excellent storage. Fountaine Pajot believes the galley sets new standards in marine design.

The Salina 48 Evolution, which is priced from $955,000, also features an improved saloon. The elegant dining table, which seats eight, converts to a coffee table to optimise the spacious lounge area. The catamaran’s hulls have been designed to maximise space and storage in the passageways, while larger portholes give the interior even more natural light and access to unforgettable views.

The redesigned, raised steering station is fully protected from the sun and seats three people so the skipper doesn’t feel left out when sailing. The steering station has direct, ergonomic access to the cockpit.

The roomy cockpit, saloon and steering station are seamlessly integrated, so everyone aboard the Salina 48 Evolution can enjoy easy, uninterrupted communication.

Also on display at the Show is the Fountaine Pajot Lipari 41, a world-class cruising multihull that sets new benchmarks for vessels of its size.
The popular Lipari 41, which is priced from $525,000, has been constructed with a low centre of gravity and light displacement of just 7.6 tonnes to ensure safety and stability, along with comfort and performance in all conditions. The two standard 20hp engines provide a cruising speed of 7.7 knots, while the optional, larger 30hp engines offer up to 9.5 knots if required.

Aesthetically, the Lipari 41 is unmistakeably European. The elegant lines and the revolutionary design maximise space, storage and comfort.
The catamaran has an ergonomically-designed deck to provide convenient centralised handling and obstacle-free movement. Built with the latest advanced composite technology, the Lipari 41 features innovations such as the mast built into the deck rather than the roof -- a move that reinforces the structural rigidity of the vessel and which aids ease of handling.

Representatives from Sunreef Yachts, Catana, Journey, NEEL Trimarans and Trawler will also be on the Multihull Solutions stand at the Sydney show to provide information and advice on the boats in their ranges.
