Australian alloy boat specialist Quintrex has added a range of new models to its entry-level tinnie line-ups aimed at enhancing the range for buyers.
The new models added to the range bring the number of tinnie and Explorer estuary boats featuring traditional or pickle-fork bows to more than 20 models.
At the top of the Explorer range is the new 3.95-metre Quintrex 390 Explorer featuring the Eclipse hull – this is the largest model to feature this design known for both its handling and stability at rest.
This model keeps its 30hp maximum rating and bench seats.
Making their debut are the new Quintrex 350 Explorer Pro and Quintrex 370 Explorer Pro models featuring deeper freeboards than standard models, meaning they can head out on the water in a wider mix of conditions.
The new 350 Explorer Pro features more beam than the 350 Explorer – 1.45 metres versus 1.67 metres – and also adds a carpeted floor to make the hull slightly heavier by comparison – 86kg versus 76kg.
Meanwhile, the Quintrex 370 Explorer Pro features a slightly longer length overall compared with the base 370 Explorer – 5.0mm more at 3.75m – an extra 17kg in weight to tip the scales at 98kg, and at 25hp, an extra 5hp rating over the base tinnie.
Both Explorer Pro models feature 1.6mm aluminium topsides, bottoms and transoms.
“Quintrex is committed to raising the standard for boating across the board, from tinnies to mid-range and plate boats. We will continue to look at new innovations and invest in product enhancements, as we have throughout the brand’s history,” Quintrex marketing manager Lloyd Jaber said.
“We are proud of our heritage as Australia’s leading boat brand with a legacy in quality and innovation, and the future is only up from here, now owned by BRP, a global leader in powersports.”
