New model from Sea Jay aluminium boats

Sea Jay's new 6.8m Plate Xtreme Preda-King is shaping up as an angler's dream

The Sea Jay 6.8m Plate Xtreme Preda-King is promoted by the builder as exhibiting structural strength second to none -- a solid but stable hull that planes easily.

There is also a wide range of standard features, including large anchorwell with mounting plate to suit a Stress Free anchor winch, fully welded self-draining floor fitted with foam for buoyancy plus air chambers, fuel tank fitted in a separate cavity, generous storage, and reverse chine for a soft dry ride.

The Sea Jay has a maximum horsepower of 230 and after a recent trial, when powered by a F225AETX Yamaha, it was reported: "Boat handled exceptionally; good all round, good prop (standard black M2), reaching 6100rpm in 24.2 seconds."

Yamaha also says that acceleration from 10 to 50km/h was achieved in 4.15 seconds over 37m.

We'll have a full test of the 6.8m Preda-King on the Boatsales network, so stay tuned.
