The new 40, 50 and 60hp four-stroke outboards - all with Mercury's exclusive EFI system - have been enhanced just in time for summer, with better performance and looks, said the manufacturer.
Mercury said its engineers have developed a new shift design making driving these engines even more pleasurable.
The company said it has also refined the throttle resolution setting for smoother low-speed operation and when combined with Mercury's SmartCraft digital engine management system - which automatically optimises performance - it means these new outboards are a dream to handle.
All of the 40, 50 and 60hp four-stroke models, said Mercury, also feature new styling and engine cowl graphics.
A new latching system provides simple removal and installation of the top cowl while improving sealing, said Mercury.
The company said its four-stroke outboards are also economical to run, using up to 40 per cent less fuel than a traditional two-stroke.
"This is a very popular family of engines, based on their performance and the huge number of boats they can power," said Ken Evans, Mercury's product director-outboards.
"We get a lot of customer feedback and that has helped drive some of these improvements," he said.
Mercury said the new 40, 50 and 60hp four-stroke outboards are all backed by an industry leading three-year factory and three-year corrosion warranty.
