New Man For Simrad

The Australian division of global marine electronics giant Navico has appointed Glenn Davidson as Simrad's national business development manager

Davidson has worked in the marine industry since 1999 as Quintrex’s sales and marketing manager and, most recently, Haines Hunter’s national sales and marketing manager.

He said his core focus in his new role was to “firmly establish Simrad as the leader in professional and high-end recreational marine electronics”.

“Simrad is acknowledged throughout Europe and other parts of the world as the most respected electronics brand in yachting, motoryacht and commercial marine markets, and it’s my intention to replicate that in Australia,” Davidson said.

Navico general manager Todd Moore said the company’s specialist brand management structure placed it in good stead to achieve its corporate goals.

“With product specialists looking after each brand – Scott Amon across Lowrance/Eagle and now Glenn Davidson on Simrad – Navico’s future is extremely promising,” Moore said.
