United Motor Yachts, which operates from an office at the Hope Island Marina, has purchased the iconic Fairway name and tooling and is now developing two exciting new motorcruisers based on the original and highly successful Fairway 36.
The new 37 Sedan and Flybridge will replace the time-honoured 36, which retains a faithful following today. An all-new Fairway 42 in Flybridge and Sedan guises will be added to the range in the near future.
These new models will have recessed walk-around side decks for safe and easy access to the bow and an extended hardtop to completely cover the cockpit. A full opening rear saloon door will combine the cockpit with the interior to create a huge living and entertaining area.
A single diesel engine will give 16-knot performance with exceptional economy and low servicing costs, we're told.
The first of the new Fairway boats to arrive will be the new 37 Sedan. The single-engine family, bay and coastal cruiser should arrive in time for the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show in May.
This new Fairway 37 Sedan, fitted with generator, air-conditioning, bow and stern thrusters, full cockpit covers, and extended swim platform with rear rail, powered by a 315hp Yanmar diesel engine with shaft drive, and featuring a luxurious interior, will be available for $395,000 on water and ready to cruise away.
