New lightweight trailers

Dunbier expands aluminium range of boat trailers

Demand from consumers following the launch of its aluminium roller trailer series 12 months ago has convinced Dunbier Marine Products to add two new models -- a 5.3m and a 5.7m -- to the popular range.

The new models will be available from next month and will enable the range of trailers to handle boats of 5.3m, 5.7m, 6.1m. 6.6m, 7.0m, 7.5m and even 8.0m.

Dunbier says the trailers have superior strength to weigh ratios over conventional trailers and provide more economical towing and better drive-on, drive-off capability at boat ramps.

Constructed of fully rolled and welded aluminium frames, the trailers have a multi-roller design, grey-non-marking rollers and LED taillights and lamps that are waterproof and which have furable high-impact lenses.

Every steel component -- axles, springs, U-bolts and nuts -- is hot-dipped galvanised or coated with Dacroment for durability in the harsh marine environment.

The aluminium multi-roller trailer range is also fitted with alloy rims and bearing protectors, matching moulded mudguards together with built in step, disc brakes and the Hydrastar braking system.
