After surviving a real-life accident at sea with their 11yo son, the directors of Life Cell Marine designed a world-first safety floatation and safety gear device to keep people together in the water in times of panic.
Available in several models from trailerboat to big boat, the Life Cell acts as a floatation device for up to eight people and can hold all of the mandatory safety equipment such as EPIRBs, flares, air horn or whistle, V-sheet, torch, heliograph or mirror.
Instead of rummaging around under seats for emergency safety items when in an emergency situation, everything is contained in one readily accessible and easily dispatched self-contained floating unit.
Endorsed by Westpac Life Saver Rescue, who actually rescued the inventors, Life Cell also comes with lanyards so that users are not separated from the bright-orange safety device in times of fatigue or high seas.
Life Cells also come with a mounting bracket that is designed to allow the unit to float off its bracket in the event of a vessel sinking.
Now available through BLA boating outlets, and direct from the inventors, the Life Cell is designed in Australia and comes in four sizes. The Life Cell Trailer Boat is suitable for two to four people, while the Life Cell Crewman is good for up to eight.
The Life Cell not only acts as a floatation device but keeps all your safety gear in the one place. So, if there is a problem and you have to leave the boat, you can take the Life Cell with you and know that you have all the necessary gear to aid your recovery.
