Sun Odyssey 469 up for Yacht of the YearThe Sun Odyssey 469 is the latest in the long line of Jeanneau sailing yachts to be nominated for the European Yacht of the Year. Many new boats are launched each year but only a select few earn a nomination.
The award started in 2001 and is judged by a panel of journalists from eleven of the largest sailing magazines in Europe. Jeanneau yachts have won this award four times, including the Sun Fast 3200, and more recently the Sun Odyssey 409.
The newest addition to the Sun Odyssey line, the Sun Odyssey 469, benefits from the latest innovations and inherits the finest traits of this brand, we're told.
From the design cabinet of Philippe Briand, the clean lines and an elongated hull with moderate freeboard give the Sun Odyssey 469 aesthetic value and performance.
The 469 utilises a modern chined hull, a large cockpit, and a high-end interior with multiple layout options to satisfy all requirements.
Combined with sail plans options to suit all, including a self-tacking jib, in-mast furling main, a performance 140 per cent genoa and a furling code 0, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 469 is a state of the art performance cruiser.
