New Jeanneau Leader 46

Jeanneau recently launched a new flagship of its leader range, the Leader 46, at an international dealer event in Dubrovnik.

The manufacturer says the Leader 46 revisits the same key points that have made the current line an international success – a high-performance hull, generous exterior space and innovative interiors.

The new Leader 46 carries the same DNA of the line, making a statement with a sporty hull designed by J&J Design while the sleek profile is courtesy  of Garroni Design.

Available with IPS propulsion or stern drive, the new Leader 46 offers superior performance and sea-keeping abilities.

To satisfy the customer who enjoys day trips and family cruising, the exterior layout of the new Leader 46 does a marvellous job of separating the different spaces on board.

The saloon is laid out on a single level and features a large, U-shaped lounge to port s, a co-pilot bench seat closed to the helm and this converts to a sheltered sundeck, and there is a very attractive and well-appointed galley.

The opening roof on the sport top slides widely, transforming the Leader 46 into a large open vessel.

Up front, there is a comfortable sundeck that invites relaxation, complete with dual lounges with adjustable backrests.

Down aft, is another sundeck that faces the big swim platform (hydraulic optional), which becomes an outdoor living area with an integrated galley and tender garage.

The owner’s suite is a sumptuous surprise. The full-beam cabin is in the centre of the boat and features a king-size bed on the centre line with a modular head and shower compartment.

The guest cabin and private bathroom offers the same luxurious detail and comfort. The queen-size bed can be separated into to twin berths  and there is copious storage.

Fully modular, the Leader 46 is also offered in a three-cabin version that is particularly well suited to families, we’re told.

Jeanneau says the Leader 46 has been designed for those who love speed, high-performance  cruising, comfort and the simple pleasures of life aboard.

The Leader 46 will be officially launched to the public at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
