"Combining elegance and sporty lines, the new Cap Camarat 10.5 Walkaround (WA) is designed for fast, long distance cruising with the additional benefit of comfort on board," says the blurb from Jeanneau at the boat’s announcement in Dubrovnik last week.
Jeanneau says that the Cap Camarat 10.5WA benefits from the experience of architect Michael Peters in the field of stepped hull design, with this boat featuring a double-stepped hull to reduce the wetted surface area and provide sporty performance.
The new boat is designed to be versatile and is said to be the ideal boat for fun and enjoyable day trips, with the ability to seat 10; or for an evening at anchor for a family getaway with a comfortable night’s rest for four.
However, those who love a bit of performance should appreciate the power of this boat with its recommended twin 300hp outboards.
At the helm there’s a triple helm seat and a fully-equipped console with room for more electronics. Seating is high for that wind-in-the-hair experience.
The Cap Camarat’s big cockpit features an L-shaped lounge to starboard and a walk-through on the port side to the big swim platform.
Up front is what Jeanneau calls its ‘intergrated sundeck’ that offers relaxation on the twin lounges as well as safety provided by the walkaround side decks.
Inside, there is sleeping for four with the dinette converting to a double and an additional double aft.
The galley features a fridge stove, microwave oven and sink with pressurised water. Windows in the hull and skylights give the cabin a light and airy feeling.
An enclosed head with separate shower stall rounds out the impressive interior.
