Horizon Group is preparing to turn heads once again with the largest yacht on display, a brand-new 2016 Horizon RP120 superyacht, at the second Taiwan International Boat Show from March 10-13, 2016.
Featuring a sleek exterior profile from U.S. designer JC Espinosa, the Horizon RP120 is said to offer both luxury and functionality. She features a low-resistance hull designed for superior performance, while her 7.85m (26’2”) beam provides extremely spacious accommodation and living spaces.
SUPERYACHT MEETS BEACH HOUSE
Horizon worked with famed Italian designer Luca Dini to create a contemporary and elegant interior atmosphere for this new Horizon RP120. While there is a strong European influence, her styling also emphasises comfort and useability, and the customised design details aim to complement the open layout.
Dini chose to utilise Breeze Oak as the RP120’s main wood and the light, neutral, grey wood is said to bring to mind a modern beach house surrounded by sand and sea, inspiring a feeling of tranquility throughout the yacht.
"Collaborating with JC and Luca, Horizon has developed a superyacht that not only focuses on luxury but also livability," said Horizon Group CEO John Lu.
"The Horizon RP120 will be a true work of art, shaped and sculpted from various masters in their craft."
THE 120'S LAYOUT
Focusing on contemporary luxury, the Horizon RP120 features a five-ensuite stateroom layout and numerous indoor spaces that are suited for entertaining guests either day or night.
The main salon incorporates a custom bar and the formal dining easily accommodates 10 guests, while a fully-equipped galley and large storage area ensure cruising trips will be well-provisioned.
Forward on the main deck, the master stateroom includes a king-sized bed, walk-in closet, and a full-beam master head just a few steps down from the stateroom. Below decks, four guest staterooms are split between two mirrored VIP staterooms and two twin guest staterooms.
The Horizon RP120’s exterior concentrates on providing multiple areas for lounging.
From the deck sunbed, sofa and Jacuzzi to the bow dinette and sunpads, there is no shortage of space to relax and take in the view.
While underway, the RP120 can be piloted from a helm on the flybridge or from within the raised pilothouse, which provides a protected spot away from the elements.
