New Hanse 675 is a mini 'superyacht'

The biggest ever yacht from the German yard is now available Down Under

Hanse has splashed its eagerly awaited new 675 flagship, the largest production yacht ever built by the big German yard. With a base price of $2.15m, the mini superyacht is now available locally with an early 2017 delivery time.

Measuring almost 70-feet overall, the luxury yacht carries a towering 32 metre or 105ft carbon mast and boosts separate crew accommodation, aft galley, integrated coffee bar and wine fridge, upmarket owners' accommodation and finishes such as stone vanity tops.

Developed by Judel/Vrolijk & Co, the 675 is described as an elegant and sporty cruiser. The yacht has been designed with Hanse's signature ease of handling, an uncluttered deck layout, elongated teak foredeck and flowing roofline.

The 675 is rigged with a 98sq m self-tacking jib, optional inner forestay, 140 per cent or 165sq m genoa, and can fly a 280sq m gennaker. The standard draft is 3.10m although a shoal draft of 2.70m is available.

Besides easy sail handling, Hanse says owners will enjoy a light-filled interior thanks to large hull windows and the huge panoramic roof with a section on deck that opens electronically.

The accommodation plan includes extra privacy for owners and guests with a separate crew entry on the port side of the cockpit, which leads to the galley area and spacious crew cabin with adjacent wet room.

Another high-end addition to this model is the use of genuine stone in the bathrooms.  The circular showers with stainless steel and fine wood veneer finishes create indulgent, spacious bathrooms.

Attention to detail and the design features take some of their cues from superyachts. In the large owners’ cabin, the shelves and sideboards are mounted to "float in the air."

In the stylish saloon, there’s the addition of a card table with screen (to use as an office area), a coffee bar incased in the side wall, and a temperature-controlled wine cooler. The AV system has been amped up.

Guests can relax in the saloon as the kitchen and utility area is separated from the main living area.  In the cockpit, there is an impressive multimedia package with three 21 inch screens for entertainment or plotting.

Hanses says the finishing touches on its 675, like hand-made leather and fine wood panels, are all indulgences rarely seen in a production yacht.

When the 675 was announced last year, local importer Peter Hrones said: "One of the things that sets this yacht apart from the rest is the spacious, light-flooded interior which is like modern apartment living. The flexibility to add more lounging areas is a great lifestyle option. I think the 675 is great value for money for a luxury super yacht."

The Hanse 675 is now being promoted as available locally through the Windcraft Group.
