The Hanse 455 is the latest model from the Hanse Five Series. The German manufacturer says the new 455 is a distinctive and powerful 45ft performance yacht with contemporary design and flexible layout options.
In designing the new 455, Hanse says it has created more space and a larger performance rig than the previous model, yet the yacht is still easy to handle.
The overall look of the 455 is sleek and modern. It has a large and innovative cockpit for a 45ft yacht, giving owners plenty of storage options and enough space for sailing in comfort or relaxing in port. Big hull windows mean a saloon and galley with a sea view and with the increased number of opening hatches there is extra light and ventilation throughout the saloon and accommodation below deck.
The performance rig is 10 per cent bigger than the previous model and well balanced for sailing fast with ease. All halyards, sheets, trimming and reefing lines run under the deck to the aft helm positions creating a neat deck. This, along with Hanse’s trademark self-tacking headsail, means the 455 is ideal for single-handed sailing or for enjoying a day on the water with a crew whether they're experienced or not.
Other design features include a T-speed keel with strong, high quality stainless steel bolts, an elegant hull and deck with safe bulwark and a coach roof with integrated, curved, flush hatches. The Hanse 455 has the choice of three or four cabins and multiple interior finish options.
The new 455 is available through importers Windcraft and is priced from $418,000.
