New Haines Signature 550F fishing trailerboat

Haines Signature, one of Australia's longest serving manufacturers of fibreglass trailerboats, launched the all-new 550F model at the 2016 Gold Coast International Marine Expo from May 19-22.

The new-generation Haines Signature 550F is described as a versatile, family friendly, fishing boat loaded with features. The Brisbane boatbuilder says the new model builds on its reputation for creating high quality Australian-designed and -built boats.

The 550F debuts a new hull design that has been derived from the 575. The new hull is almost a foot wider across the beam than its predecessor, the 543F, leading to greater stability at rest for a better offshore fishing experience.

Measuring 2.41m wide, the new platform offers anglers more fishing space while families gain extra room for the kids to hang out.

The boatbuilder says owners will also benefit from up to 77 per cent greater range than the previous model thanks to a larger 177lt fuel tank.

A SERIOUS FISHING BOAT
The Haines family are touting the new 550F as a serious offshore fishing contender without compromising on looks and performance.

"This was one of the largest selling classes of Haines Signature boats in history and we wanted to capture the legacy of this brand with this new model," said John Haines, Chief Executive Officer of The Haines Group.

"The 550F is a fantastic fishing boat that’s more comfortable, soft riding and gives more walk-around access, as we’ve increased the floor space but kept the cabin size the same.

"Our team has been researching and designing this boat for almost 12 months, incorporating feedback from our customers and dealers for a fishing boat with more space... we’ve really taken this boat to the next level," Mr Haines said.

It is also fully customisable with a range of options such as a fully enclosed hardtop and 32mm stainless steel rails.

The Haines Signature 550F made its debut at the Gold Coast International Marine Expo at the Australian Marine Centre stand.

"We believe it’ll be a great upgrade for those looking to trade in their aluminium boat for a fibreglass boat built to the highest quality right here in our Australian factory," Mr Haines said.
