New Fountaine Pajot 47 sailing catamaran

In a flurry of French passion, catamaran giant Fountaine Pajot has just announce an innovative new 47-foot sailing catamaran called simply the 47 that's due to splash in April 2017.

The new 47 is said to be designed for extended cruising and today's fussy owners demanding more private accommodation, greater space and safety, extra comfort and powerful performance in all conditions.

GREATER LIVING SPACES
Fountaine Pajot claims the new 47 boasts incomparable levels of living space including a huge open-plan cockpit designed for entertaining with integrated BBQ and an innovative new tender lift that doubles as a swimming platform.

Trading off the superyacht term, the French yard calls the optional submersible swim platform between the hulls its "beach club."

The foredeck has been fitted with a plush sun lounge, while the nine-square-metre elevated lounge deck under the boom, atop the cabin top, lets you enjoy the views as you cruise.

The 47’s saloon is said to stream natural light aboard, while the aft galley has an island bench plus an abundance of storage for extended cruising.

ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS
The new Fountaine Pajot 47 is available in two layouts. The three-cabin Owner version features a decadent master suite that occupies an entire hull, complete with a luxurious en suite with Italian-style shower, plus two generous guest cabins in the port hull that each enjoy their own exclusive en suites.

The new 47 is also available in a five-cabin charter version with private en suites to the four double guest cabins, as well as convenient crew quarters.

Fountaine Pajot says the its 47 has been meticulously designed to offer intuitive responsiveness at the wheel and exceptional performance in all conditions.

Her optimised weight-to-volume ratio is intended to deliver "perfect balance and stability for an unforgettable sailing experience at any speed."

The new 47 will slot nicely into Fountaine Pajot’s renowned sailing catamaran range featuring six models from 40 to 67 feet.
