Although details are scant about the new Dufour 460 Grand Large, we can confirm that the new yacht will be designed for ease of sailing and outdoor, as well as indoor, entertaining.
The interior layout is inspired by the Dufour 500 and 560 with a forward galley and ample lounging area in the spacious saloon. Owners can opt for either a three or four-cabin layout and we’re told the emphasis is on space and comfort.
Up top, the hull and deck have been redesigned as has the sail plan with a fixed bowsprit and self-tacking jib.
The big cockpit offers plenty of room and all the lines lead under the decking to give a smooth and neat cabin top. Short-handed sailing is another focus with the sheets leading back to the twin helms.
Further aft, there is a fold-down swim platform and a fully-equipped outdoor galley on the transom so the on-board chef doesn’t have to keep ducking below as the barbecue sizzles.
We’ll bring you more information following the official launch of the tasty-looking 460 GL at Cannes Yachting Festival in September. Meanwhile here are some specifications and pics to whet your appetite.
