According to Cruise Craft, the 6.85m features an enormous fishing cockpit and a broad cabin, and it will be able to accommodate the customer’s choice of single or twin outboard engines.
Cruise Craft says the current range of Explorers has been very successful, with the popular 625 having garnered a number of awards, including the 2005 AMIF Fishing Boat of the Year.
"It's not every day that we undertake a boat project with so much history and expectation," said Cruise Craft sales and marketing manager Peter Benston.
Standard features on the 685 Explorer include stainless steel fittings, a transom door and boarding ladder, padded coamings, underfloor storage, an EPIRB, and a foam-filled hull.
