Is this the most outrageous Outrage?Set to debut at the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (Oct 30-Nov 3), the New Boston Whaler 420 Outrage is nothing if not outrageous.
Just start with quad Mercury Verado 300s with Joystick Piloting for incredible power and manoeuvrability. Boston Whaler says that the 420 will be capable of near-50-knot performance and incredible sea-keeping capabilities. Plus, you'll get Mercury's integrated SmartCraft VesselView display, power steering and digital throttle and shift which will combine on the 420 to deliver a sophisticated, seamless command experience, says the manufacturer.
And Whaler's new 'dynamic running surface' hull technology, featuring automatically adjusting trim tabs, will enhance ride quality to new levels. Welcome to the future of boating.
There's an expansive bow area with innovative adjustable seating, a beautifully designed, convertible helm with three separate helm seats which is enclosed with a hard top, full windscreen and side windows. Add to that the versatile cockpit areas, and the well-equipped cabin, and this is a great boat for onboard entertaining and pleasure cruising, whether close to home or offshore.
And, true to its Outrage lineage, serious sport fishing falls squarely within its domain.
Aft of the helm is a module with a three-person forward-facing bench seat. On the aft side of this 'leaning post' module, the owner can choose how he wants it set up -- barbecue with sink, live-bait well, tackle drawers or just storage.
The transom features another fold-up bench seat and two transom doors while further access to the cockpit is provided by port and starboard dive doors.
The cabin has twin hull-side windows, a V-berth, a head with a shower, and a settee that converts to a berth and a galley.
