New Beneteau Swift Trawler 35

A new trawler with Cummins shaft-drive power, twin cabins and twin opening transom doors

Following the success of the new Swift Trawler 34 after almost eight years in global market, Beneteau has launched its successor, the Swift Trawler 35, described as a long-distance cruiser with contemporary styling, reworked internal space, and a high degree of onboard safety.

Due to make its debut at the upcoming Southampton boat show opening September 15 and Annapolis boat show soon after, the Swift Trawler 34 is built on a semi-planing flared hull powered by a common-rail 425hp Cummins engine with shaft drive.

Protected either by a canvass top or optional moulded 'bimini top', the flybridge is said to emphasise the boat’s
harmonious profile while adding to the distinctive long cruise temperament.

Elsewhere, broad walkways, lots of hand rails and high pushpits – higher than regulation requirements – add to your safety on board.

With regard to visibility, the Swift Trawler 35’s wheelhouse has a 360-degree view and is bathed with natural light, Beneteau adds.

MODULAR EXTERIOR
Beneteau has created a modular exterior layout on the Swift Trawler 35.

Twin outward-opening transom doors extend the cockpit floor space and create one big aft entertaining and living space.

The flybridge easily seats six people at a table, has the option of a fridge, a comfortable driving station with repeated navigation instruments, swivel helm seat and aft double sunlounge.

Walkaround decks lead to the bow with sun-lounge cushions and more space to relax.

ELEGANT INTERIOR
Beneteau says the Swift Trawler 35’s interior is as elegant as it is practical, with matching teak and easily maintained upholstery.

There's a forward galley alongside the helm, aft dinette and lounge behind on the starboard side, and wet bar and entertainment centre opposite.

In the U-shaped galley opposite the driver’s seat, Beneteau has added a built-in seat and a double sink that converts to a second work or servery space depending on your duty.

TWIN CABINS
The Swift Trawler 35 has twin cabins and a single bathroom, but it's possible to sleep six by using the supplied sofabed in the saloon.

The owner's cabin in the bow is reached through a folding door designed to maximise floor space.

The second twin cabin to port has bunks, while the head and shower have full headroom.

SELF SUFFICIENCY
With cruising in mind, the Swift Trawler 35 has twin 150lt water tanks, 800lt of fuel, and frugal displacement cursing plus an anticipated mid-20 knot top speed.

The big French boatbuilder released the new Swift Trawler 30 in 2015 with a gourmet tour of the French canals and waterways in 2016. That new baby in the Trawler range is now joined by this newly styled 35 with what appears to be more elbow room.
