Beneteau will show two new cruising yachts, the Oceanis 35.1 and 38.1, from the brand's evergreen yacht range later this year.
The new models are said to advance the French yard's move into customisation to satisfy more interpretations of the ideal yachting lifestyle as it exists on different continents.
The interiors of the Oceanis 35.1 and 38.1 have been rethought while their exteriors have been redesigned. Together, there are now 10 versions of these popular yacht models, each a different combination of performance and comfort at sea.
PERFORMANCE FIRST AND FOREMOST
The chined hull by the architects Finot-Conq is said to offer comfort and good balance under sail. With twin rudders, masts positioned further aft and optimised sailplans, the two hulls give snappy sailing and lots of stability underway, Beneteau says.
A redesigned deckplan with a strop on the coachroof gives the boat a sleeker profile, while keeping the cockpit free of clutter when sailing.
COMFORT ON BOARD
Inside, the two Oceanises 35.1 and 38.1 boast elegant layouts by Nauta Design. For the Italian design team, the challenge was to increase living spaces, create open-plan areas, yet offer greater privacy in the owner's cabins.
A new L-shaped galley, located on the port side of the 45-degree companionway, allows for seating for eight people around a nearby dinette. A longitudinal modern galley layout is also available.
In the same spirit, the chart table has been redesigned. Practical and effective, it folds away to leave more room in the saloon.
SEPARATE OWNER CABIN
Now accessed by a double door, the owner cabin offers more privacy and a pleasant forward view of the boat when the doors are left open.
The two new Oceanis yachts offer a choice of joinery with contemporary light oak or more classic mahogany. A wide choice of linings and upholstery add the finishing touches.
Designed to suit a variety of sailing demands, the Oceanis 35.1 is available in four versions and the 38.1 comes in six different versions, each with varied cabin and bathroom layouts, modular saloons, choices of galley, storage capacity, and more.
Beneteau says the Oceanis range continues to offer a wide choice for demanding customers and that these new more flexible models build on the success and styling of the 41.1 sister yacht.
