Bavaria Australia made a big splash at the 2016 Sydney International Boat Show, with a 10-model line-up including some big award-winning Farr-designed yachts, a whole new range of catamarans, and some snappy sportscruisers with hardtops.
"Bavaria has always been a strong yachting brand, and we've picked up some great market share in recent years. But now the powerboat side of things is lifting and we have new designs that suit the Australian way of boating to a tee. At the same time, Bavaria has taken over Nautitech catamarans, which are known for great performance. So we have a boat for everyone," says Bavaria Australia director Andy Howden.
With an established presence on our market, the German boatbuilder chose the Sydney show to stage the world premiere of the new two-cabin Cruiser 34 yacht and the Bavaria/Nautitech Open 46 Catamaran in an accommodating four-cabin version.
There were also Australian premieres of the Cruiser 41 yacht, the luxurious Cruiser 46 Style (European Yacht of the Year 2015); the New 330HT and 360HT hardtop sportscruisers.
Rounding out the broad range of offerings, the Cruiser 37 and Cruiser 51, plus the Open 40 that has been praised on overseas markets, joined the Vision 42 raised-saloon yacht on show.
Whether you like single hull, multihull, sail or power, Bavaria Australia makes the point they have a boat on show to suit at the Bavaria World marina stand from 197-206.
"Bavaria has always been well known for their monohulls, but now there are cats and more powerboats. Their going bigger and more luxurious and there are some interesting new boats in the pipeline using top European designers," Howden adds.
There's even a new Bavaria E40 hybrid motoryacht making waves in Europe. Meantime, more from Bavaria Australia about the expanding range of pleasure boats.
