New Bavaria E34 hybrid begins its grand tour of Europe
Jump aboard Bavaria’s new 34ft hybrid motoryacht during its German and Swiss cruise tourGerman yacht and motorboat manufacturer Bavaria is staging a five-stop European tour to promote its just-launched and revolutionary E34 hybrid.
As we reported on previously, the E34 hybrid
can be purchased with Volvo Penta 60, 110 and 220 horsepower diesel engines for economical cruising or a diesel-electric-hybrid propulsion system.
The five stops on the E-Summer-Tour promoting the new baby in the two-boat E34 and E40 range will take in Berlin, Travemünde, Bodensee twice, and Speyer. Travelling through Germany and Switzerland, the new 34ft addition to the E-line has just celebrated its world premier at the Bavaria Open Days on June 23-24 in Giebelstadt.
Now to the E-Summer Tour. The first stop will be Werder an der Havel at the gates of Berlin and Potsdam. Here, for the very first time, visitors will be able to take the brand new boat for a test drive.
The host of the E-Summer Tour stop in Berlin is Allert Marin, the local dealership for Bavaria sailing yacht and motorboats in this region.
From Berlin, the E34 heads to the Baltic Sea and Travemünde, where it can be viewed on July 22 and 23 in the fishing port at NordOstsee Yachten.
During the tour, the E34 makes two stops at Lake Constance: From July 28 to 30 at the Yacht-Center in Kressbronn, near Friedrichshafen; and from July 31 to August 3 at Pro Nautik in Romanshorn on the Swiss side of Lake Constance.
The grand finale of the E-Summer-Tour will take place in Speyer on the Rhine on August 5 and 6. Against the backdrop of the cathedral city, the host Yacht-Center Mannheim will take customers and enthusiasts on test drives on the Rhine.
Bavaria says its new E34 is extremely easy and safe to drive, available in two versions, as a sedan or with a flying bridge, and designed to be at home on all waterways from rivers and canals to open ocean off the coast.
The 10.3 metres boat has two full-size double cabins, two bathrooms and a large saloon with 360-degree panoramic views. In the middle of the saloon is the central steering position.

While the E34 is a very European concept and design, the boat may well be a good fit for waterways like the fjord-like Hawkesbury or Gippsland.
