The new Bavaria 31 replaces the Bavaria 30 Cruiser and offers an improved interior layout, a new hull design and a modified deck layout. Bavaria said that it set priority on a classic elegant line along with functional and modern equipment.
The company said the key points of the new model are the coach roof with two large salon hatches, and two extended and larger portlights besides the four regular ones.
The 31, which is actually 32ft in length, has a new mainsheet traveller along with a mainsheet system, and six winches on deck as a standard equipment, that will offer pure sailing pleasure, said Bavaria.
At the rear of the new model is the transom hatch with swim ladder, where electric lifters lower the hatch to become the swim platform.
The cockpit features two seats that are 2.2m in length and gives the space known of larger yachts.
There are lots of improvements below deck as well, said Bavaria. The forward cabin is enlarged and the spacious salon is equipped with six windows and hatches for improved ventilation. Also, the aft cabin and head will have windows and hatches for ventilation.
"We are excited about this new release from Bavaria and confident that the 31 Cruiser can look forward to a bright future Down Under," said Dan Jones from Bavaria’s Australian importer North South Yachting.
The Bavaria 31 Cruiser is available in Australia for $185,000.
