Arvor launched a new entry-level 555 Sportsfish that is the baby Arvor in the fleet that now spans more than a dozen models up to nine metres in length.
While Arvors says the 555 is designed for the fisherman of the North Sea, the new boat offers affordability and fishability for a wide range of environments.
Rated for up to five crew, the 555 Sportsfish has a full cabin and pilothouse not usually found in a boat of this size. The cabin includes a double berth, at least big enough for kids to crash.
There are said to be clear 360 degree views through and around the armour-plate safety glass windscreen, with room for three adults at the helm when cruising to the grounds.
BIG LITTLE ARVOR
With an overall length of 5.30m, beam of 2.40m, and weighing less than 2000kg on a trailer, this is a big little Arvor. The boat has a dual-battery system, is self draining, with an auto bilge as well.
Besides a walkaround lockable cabin, there are self-draining decks with high sides and freeboard, safety rails, and rod storage for six outfits in what's promoted as a larger-than-average cockpit.
To get the most of this boat’s angling potential, there is a wide range of optional equipment and specialised packages to set the boat up as to suit your needs.
With a 100hp Mercury four-stroke outboard, the boat is priced from $58,950 sans trailer. Maximum HP rating is 115.
EQUIPMENT AND OPTIONS
Among the standards equipment are a swim ladder, bow roller, anchor locker, navigation lights electric bilge pump, cockpit fish locker with overboard drain, the cockpit rod storage, four rod holders and the self-draining decks.
The helm comes with a standard seat with backrest or optional bucket seat, hydraulic steering, analog speedometer/tachometer, fuel gauge and 12V electrical socket, while the twin-berth cabin has opening side windows.
