In an exciting new development for boating enthusiasts in southern Tasmania, construction of a 160-berth floating Marina has commenced in Hobart's Prince of Wales Bay.
With local business backing by Pieter van der Woude's CleanLift Marine and the Clifford family of Incat, the new floating Marina will boast state of the art marine facilities and cater for vessels up to 35 metres in length.
At the hub of the world-renowned Tasmanian Maritime Network, Prince of Wales Bay is ideally suited to a Marina development. Deep water and all-weather shelter combine with close proximity to all of the service and maintenance requirements the most diligent of boaters could need. These include CleanLift's haul-out and hard-stand facilities, repair, painting and refit options, and full servicing of vessels, equipment and main machinery.
Prince of Wales Bay Marina will also offer all the associated facilities one would expect of a first-class marine development, including chandlery and brokerage services, stacked drystorage for boats up to 10 metres, nearby cafes and restaurants, and of course ample secure parking for boat owners and guests.
Construction of Prince of Wales Bay Marina has commenced and stage one is due to be completed in December in time for the busy boating season ahead.
