New 30-footer for Bavaria

A new pocket cruiser/racer with an emphasis on ease of sailing from the big German Manufacturer

At the recent Düsseldorf Boat Show, German boatbuilder Bavaria revealed a new daysailer in the 10-metre class aimed at attracting a whole new group of buyers.

The new Bavaria Easy 9.7 is designed so that the owners can customise the boat for their specific needs, be that daysailing, cruising or racing.

Bavaria says that with the new Bavaria Easy 9.7 sailors can completely focus on sailing fun. An easy handling and a functional design above and below decks were on the agenda during the development of this yacht. Bavaria has extended its product range with the Bavaria Easy 9.7 and it opens up a new market for a new generation getting into boating. Bavaria says that these people are a growing, but also very demanding group of buyers. With careers, family and socialising  there's not much time to go sailing, and this is where Bavaria sees the future – in a boat where you can simply put your sailing bag on board and start sailing.

Daysailer, weekender or fun cruiser, whatever you may call the Bavaria Easy 9.7, she concentrates only on the essentials. Her open stern, the spacious cockpit and the tidy deck layout make the handling of the Bavaria Easy 9.7 simple for single or double-handed crews. The helmsman can comfortably reach the genoa winches which makes boat handling easy.

Below decks, the spacious atmosphere feels like a 37-foot yacht, says the manufacturer. A wide and light-filled saloon gives a loft feel with open views. Big bunks in the stern and bow, a coffee table in the saloon, a small galley for tasty snacks occasionally and an easy-care bathroom unit which is part of the basic setup make it easy for either on a long or only short week-end trip.

The Easy Living package is also available and includes additional practical equipment. Besides the cockpit table, a transom shower is also fitted in the cockpit. A fridge, holding tank, a 240v shore power connection along with a hot shower in the bathroom nicely round up the Easy Living package.
