New 2016 Wellcraft fish boats

Ever the global launch platform for big-name boats, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) opening November 5 will see popular American brand Wellcraft launch some new bay and centre console fish boats.

"The Wellcraft brand holds a tremendous amount of equity in the market today, based on 60 years of existence. We plan to leverage that heritage with consumers," stated Roch Lambert, President at Rec Boat Holdings, the parent company of Wellcraft.

"Our dealers are very excited with the new product direction and what is yet to come and we’re confident consumer response will fall right in line," he concluded.

With the backing of its new owners, multinational Beneteau Group, Wellcraft is relaunching with several new bay boat, dual console and walk-around offerings. The design team, in collaboration with pro fishermen, says it has also built a new identity.

Filling a gap in the Wellcraft line up, the 22-foot Fisherman bay boat model, 24-foot Fisherman bay boat and the 24-foot Fisherman centre console are all scheduled to be in the US market next month and available through the international dealer network.

Using a brand-new hull design, the bay boats and centre console models  come fully equipped with all the fishing amenities needed for a day-long outing and are available family packages that will appeal to the day cruiser, says Wellcraft.

In addition to the new models, Wellcraft will have a 340 Coastal, 35 Scarab Offshore — this model with triple 350hp Mecury Verado outboards will arrive in Sydney in December — and a 232 Fisherman, plus  a 290 Coastal, 30 Scarab Offshore and a 252 Fisherman.
