South Carolina boatbuilder Sea Fox is riding the crest of a wave after selling more than 40 boats at the recent Miami boat show, where it made a soft launch of an exciting new 186 Commander Centre Console.
Local Sea Fox dealer, JSW Powersports on the Gold Coast, will have a new 186 Commander in the next lot of orders and says the entry-level centre console really looks smart with the new-styled sheerline and accentuated Carolina flare.
Measuring 5.5m down the centreline and with a 2.40m beam, the new entry-level 186 Commander in the centre console range certainly has a lot of freeboard forward.
There’s 19 degrees of deadrise for plenty stability on the fore and aft casting platforms and a maximum 175hp rating.
Meantime, a new 2015 model 266 Commander has just landed and cleared customs in preparation for outboard fitup. The big centre console can run a maximum of twin 200hp outboards.
Even more excitement surrounds the flagship centre console, the 286 Commander, which your BoatPoint and boatsales crew is about to test. The latest version of the three-tonne boat has twin 300hp Evinrude ETECs for a top speed in excess of 100km/h.
The other just-launched Sea Fox on the Gold Coast is the new 226 Traveler dual-console ideal for Broadwater boating and bluewater fishing. The crossover boat or SUV is something of a crowd pleaser with bait tanks at the transom and bowrider seating up front.
There are now just a couple of 2014 Sea Fox left in the JSW Powersports clearance sale with very keen pricing. Watch this space for more news on the Australian launches and arrivals and see our social media sites for Sea Fox test updates and pics.
