
Waterfront City Marina has changed its name to Melbourne City Marina. And according to the operators, the change represents more than just a new name. "It reflects our commitment as the largest visitor facility in Melbourne which provides casual short-term berthing," said a spokesman.
"We’d like all boat users to want to moor in Melbourne more often.
"Melbourne City Marina will continue to provide competitively-priced, safe, secure, comfortable short-term berthing in the heart of Melbourne for all boat users. We’d like to listen closer to our customers’ needs and expectations and how we can provide improved facilities and service."
The marina is now strongly focusing on customers' needs and desires to provide:

Apart from berthing, Melbourne City Marina offers free pump-out facilities, access to the lounge and private bathrooms and laundrys, 24-hour security and CCTV and daily dockmaster assistance. The marina is located in the heart of Melbourne's Docklands precinct with resaurants, shopping and direct access to the city and Etihad Stadium.
Day visitors to Melbourne City Marina can berth for free for up to four hours but are rrequired to contact the City of Melbourne Waterways Office for registration.
It is recommended that overnight visitors book ahead to secure a berth.
Berthing costs start for as little as $45 per night.
