The revitalised company will unveil its new two-cabin 32 Sports Cruiser at the show. One boat will be powered by a single 375 horsepower petrol engine and stern drive, the other by a 350 hp turbo diesel and stern drive.
CEO Bill Barry-Cotter said engine brands have yet to be decided.
“We are discussing options with both Mercury and Volvo,” he said. “The final decision will be made upon performance and pricing. We want to deliver the best possible option for our customers.”
The boat features a roomy cockpit and entertaining area. It has a forward helm, a well-equipped galley and large L-shape lounge that runs along the port side and curves around the transom. A dinette table can be lowered on an electric activator to turn this lounge into a great day bed.
Marketing Director Luke Durman said the new design builds on the tradition of Mustang.
“We have taken the brand back to its roots,” he said. “Mustang again stands for great family sports cruisers at a competitive price.”
Stepping on board from the integrated swim platform, a transom door on the starboard side leads to the cockpit, most of which is covered by the hardtop and overhang.
“There’s still plenty of room for the sun worshippers on the aft lounge,” said Durman. “And the entire cockpit is protected from spray when the boat is at speed.”
Both swim platform and cockpit feature teak decking.
Forward, a companionway leads to the accommodation of a master cabin forward with an island double bed and hanging lockers. A second bunk cabin is on the starboard side and the bathroom, complete with separate shower stall, is on the port side.
The new Mustang 32 Sports Cruiser will be competitively priced at a little more than $200,000.
