The smallest vessel to come out of the Maritimo factory, the Mustang 32 Sports Cruiser has proven popular since its release in 2011 and it has been updated to now include twin motors.
Providing two cabins with comfortable sleeping for four and a three-sided enclosed cabin offering good weather protection the Mustang 32 has been snapped up by first time boaties and also those moving up from trailer boats.
Maritimo’s sales and marketing manager Greg Haines said some subtle changes had been made to the boat making it even more comfortable.
"We have done a fair bit of work on the camper covers which gives you a lot more living space in inclement weather and we have also now added the option of twin motors," he said.
“The original model came out with an 8.2-litre MerCruiser petrol motor and now we can provide 5.0 DTS MerCruisers or MerCruiser QSD 170 diesels. The Mustang 32 is also available with Volvo Penta power in both petrol and diesel, single and twin.
"The twins can also be linked to joy stick controls giving amazing manoeuvrability," Mr Haines added.
Mr Haines said the boat had a double forward and a twin bunk side cabin. He said the three-sided enclosed cabin made it a very popular boat in Victoria where the colder weather was a consideration for boaties.
He said new models also included the option of a generator and air conditioning.
Mr Haines said a lot of Mustang 32 buyers were getting into boating for the first time of they had been owners of trailer boats and were tired of the boat ramp queues and the hassle of towing.
"They can see the benefits of having a boat in a marina and being able to just jump on and go," he said.
"And priced from $226,000 this smart little vessel is appealing to a broad sector of the buying market."
