MTU 700 series common rail engines

MTU's new state-of-the-art 700 Series Common Rail marine diesel engines were launched at this year's Sydney International Boat Show

The 700 Series feature the latest common rail injection technology and are available in 2.8lt four-cylinder and 4.2lt six-cylinder displacement engines for fast pleasure craft.

"We are excited to introduce the most technologically advanced and environmentally friendly generation of common rail diesel engines to the marine market," said Geoff Bailey, national marine product manager of MTU Detroit Diesel Australia.

"It is our mission to continuously offer a wider range of engine options for the growing and diverse needs of our customers," he said.

These engines will offer a new dimension for boat owners looking for excellent power to weight ratio, said MTU. Combined with smoother, more efficient and quieter operation, the 700 Series offers increased performance from the most compact package size in its class, said the company.
